Psychotherapy

  • Therapy is a space just for you.

When you’re spread thin and it feels like there’s no time to focus on yourself, this is the perfect time to go to therapy. Individual therapy provides you an oportunity to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and the skills you need to create the life you want.

Therapy is different from talking to friends or family. The therapeutic relationship can provide you with an objective and non-judgmental perspective. It is a supportive, low pressure, fully confidential space just for you.

  • Create lasting change.

Psychotherapy changes your neural pathways, resulting in lasting change

Initially in therapy will spend time getting to know each other, as the relationship we form is the foundation of healing. Once you are comfortable, we will work to process your experiences, identify your patterns, practice communication, and move toward your goals.

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach, but together we will develop tools to help you achieve lasting change. I will utilize different strategies from different therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy.

And don’t worry - while there is a first time for everything, it’s fairly difficult to freak me out. I recognizing that the scope of human experience is vast and that taking a non-judgmental and open-minded stance is crucial to good treatment. There are definitely going to be things that are outside my wheelhouse, but I will be honest and open about this. If I think you deserve different or more specialized care, I will help you find it. I show up every day to support you.

  • Start to heal.

Therapy can help you gain clarity, function at your best, and develop resilience. Whether you’ve done this before or it’s your first time seeking therapy, I am here to support you.

Your progress in therapy should not feel ambiguous. At the start of our work together, it’s important for me to learn about your life. This means talking through both your history and current concerns. As therapy progresses, my goal is to help you bring parts of yourself and your life together, integrating the pieces to find your authentic self. We will work together to ensure progress, and I encourage discussion about the work we are doing at any time.

  • Invest in yourself.

High-profile humans like Michelle Obama, Prince Harry, Michael Phelps, Serena Williams, and even Pope Francis have all shared how they benefited from therapy.

And just because you’re successful doesn’t mean you’re immune to mental health struggles. In fact, issues like perfectionism, fear, guilt, and loneliness can become amplified as we progress in life.

No matter who you are or where youa re in life, we can all use some extra support from time to time.
